Make the most of long-repeat yarns with techniques that make sense: one-yarn intarsia, steek tricks, and knitting both directions. Learn to knit without turning your work; it's practical and efficient for one-yarn intarsia where you stack multicolor yarn in interesting patterns. Then move on to steek tricks that make those same yarns and colors wrap the body without interruption. Join Rick and create knits with unique character and charm. Learn techniques that help you become a better knitter—even when you're not using multicolors. |

From color selection and knitting techniques to garment shaping and fit, Jane shares the processes that make her designs uniquely wearable: graduated miters, shaped panels, intarsia, and embellishment. Jane knows fit. As you knit, she will discuss the keys to successful garment design for all shapes and sizes—changing needle sizes and A-line silhouettes. You will work with your own body measurements as you explore the Swing Swagger Drape fit. |

Anna Zilboorg Enjoy this rare opportunity to share Anna Zilboorg's ever-evolving knitting world: traveling stitches, designing with strips, embellishing with embroidery. Learn to work twisted traveling stitches back and forth—tricky but a lot of fun once you master the technique. We'll start the vest front with a small, simple strip. Then relax a bit with Palestrina-knot embroidery before we proceed to the complex center pattern. After working a bit of that, we can start the diagonal strip, joining it to the other strips as we go. When we add more embroidery, it brings all the patterns to a new life. Finishing the vest when you go home will give you a chance to practice all you've learned!
