Art of Knitting Backwards with Candace Eisner Strick
Learn to knit and purl backward and how to apply this technique to an applied edging. It is great not to have to turn your work at the end of those 6-stitch rows!
Homework and yarn from swatch, appropriate dpn and same size circular needle (any length), small amount of #4 (worsted-weight) yarn in a different color from swatch.
Side note about yarn: Because you will be learning new techniques, please bring good-quality yarn, preferably smooth, light-colored wool. Cotton, acrylic, etc have no give, and it is easier and more enjoyable to learn when not fighting with an uncooperative yarn!
Please email me at Candace@strickwear.com with any questions.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
Using #4 (worsted-weight) yarn, knit a 4x4" swatch in yarn of your choice in either garter stitch or stockinette stitch. Bind off loosely.
