Color and Pattern Pizzazz with Laura Bryant
For those who wish to continue their exploration of color, this class will delve into the world of selecting color combinations for pattern knitting that really sing. Mosaic, Fair Isle, and two- or three-color slip stitch patterns will be examined with an eye for optimizing their effects. Lots of samples and hands-on knitting will give you a greater sense of confidence about selecting colors, and you will leave with a deeper understanding of Laura's favorite axiom: You don't get WOW by doing the expected! Note: Must have taken any one color course with Laura previously. Materials fee: $3 for yarns. Supplies
3-4 small balls of solid-colored yarns, 2-3 needles in size ranging from 3.75 mm to 6 mm/US 5-10, any stitch dictionary.Materials fee: $3 for hand-dyed yarns. Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
