Even More Challenging Stitches From Japanese Designs with Gayle Roehm
Japanese hand-knitting patterns often use complex and interesting stitch patterns. This class introduces patterns that present unusual challenges in executing the stitch or deciphering the chart. We'll do a quick review of Japanese chart symbols, then you'll swatch eight or more pattern stitches. Note: These patterns are not part of 617-3 Challenging Stitches. You MUST be comfortable knitting from charts. Supplies
2 or 3 colors of smooth, #2 to #4 (sport to worsted-weight) yarn (these can be leftovers) and appropriate needles, including needles for your preferred method of circular knitting (dpns or 2 circulars). Have a few extra needles or dpns on hand and a cable needle.Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes. Homework
None
