Tempting Tunisian: An Introduction to Tunisian Crochet with Ginger Luters
Tunisian crochet is often described as a combination of knitting and crochet. While this technique usually produces a dense, rigid fabric, by using a large crochet hook and several stitch variations a soft, drapey fabric suitable for scarves, shawls, and other garments can be created. Note: Must be able to work chain stitch and single crochet.
Supplies
Tunisian crochet hook- size L or larger (size M is recommended), 3 or more sport or DK weight yarns in various colors (partial balls are fine).Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
