How to Say it: Technical Writing for Knitters and Crocheters with Edie Eckman
If you have a design you'd like to get published or to share, you need to be able to write it so others can understand it. Learn how to craft a well-written pattern and avoid common mistakes. Study ways to balance the needs of different audiences and skill levels. Explore the joys and pitfalls of describing a number of different sizes. Pick up tips for getting your designs accepted for publication. Go home with a pattern template you can use. Note: This is NOT a pattern drafting (number crunching) class but a class in technical writing. Supplies
Pencil, calculator, several sheets of 8 1/2 x 11" paper.Optional: laptop with a charged battery for the afternoon portion of the class. Homework
