Turn that Sock into a Glove with Anne Kuo Lukito
You love the sock pattern you are working on but wouldn’t it be nice to have matching or coordinating gloves or fingerless mitts? Learn how to adapt and modify the stitch pattern in your favorite sock or sock pattern into gloves. We’ll examine the various design elements of your sock, how to chose and adapt the stitch pattern(s), and how to fit special details into a glove’s construction.
2 or more of your favorite sock patterns, yarn recommended in sock pattern, and dpns or circular needles appropriate for yarn.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
Swatch 1 Using worsted weight yarn and 4mm/US 6 needles, CO 30 sts and join for working in the round. Work k1, p1 around until work is approximately 1”.
Swatch 2 (optional): Bring in some socks or sock patterns
