Intarsia: An Introduction to a World of Color with Jane Slicer Smith
Join Jane in her world of color as she guides you through the basics of simple Intarsia and Fair Isle, reading graphs, reading your knitting, and joining colors. Jane will talk about proportion and color balance within a design, as well as her use of swing and drape when designing.
Supplies
#3 (DK-weight) wool in 3 contrasting solid colors, about 30 grams each, 3.75 and 4mm/US 5 and 6 needles.Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes. Homework
