Understanding Body Types and Discovering Designs that Fit with Wilhelmine Zoe Peers
Finding designs that fit and flatter is a whole lot easier when you know what pieces work best for your shape.
There are four major body types: the flute or twig, the hourglass, the apple and the dewdrop or pear. They all require correct tailoring to bring out the best features. Understanding the problem areas and the best features will be the basis for accurate definition of garment planning.
Participants will work together to measure each other. Once the measurements are recorded, each body type will emerge, and will serve as the basis for garment construction.
