Design Using a Photographer's Frame with Wilhelmine Zoe Peers
Inspiration is all around us. Participants will learn how to cut out “noise” and focus on a color, a landscape, an architectural angle by using a card board photographer's frame. Time will be devoted to seeing, sketching, and the beginning of the creation process. Seeing is using magazines cut outs, textiles, photographs to form collages that constitute the background. Sketching is using the cardboard frame to see the most interesting or alluring images come into focus and can then be sketched using color pens, pencils, or even a camera for future use. Designing is really sketching with yarn. Using various yarn colors, textures and stitches will lead to an actual textile design.
Fun will turn into inspiration. Inspiration will turn into interest.
