A Well-Executed Sleeve Cap with Sarah Peasley
Learn how to design an armhole to fit YOUR body, then pick up and knit a perfect set-in sleeve from the top down with no unsightly seams! Bonus: use short rows to shape your sweater shoulders neatly and avoid those nasty stairsteps!
Supplies
50 grams smooth, light-colored, #4 (worsted-weight) yarn; 4.5 mm/US 7 straight or circular needles or size to match yarn; crochet hook, size 4.25 mm or 5mm/US G or H; 3 stitch holders; 3 stitch markers; safety pins; scissors.Homework
Swatch 1: Cast on 20 stitches. Row 1: Knit. Row 2: Purl. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for approximately 2" (end after working a purl row). Do not bind off. Do not cut yarn.Swatch 2: Cast on 20 stitches.
