Learn Candace's revolutionary, simple, new method. The toes and heels are worked flat, without seams. Sounds impossible, right? But, it's so easy you will be amazed. Convert any existing sock pattern to this simple method. Finish your sock with a wonderful, stretchy bind-off.
Light-colored, smooth, wool yarn of dk weight or heavier; appropriately-sized double-pointed needles or 2 circular needles or 40" circular for Magic Loop; a few yards of smooth, cotton yarn; tapestry needle.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.

Strickly Socks Provisional Cast-on
With light-colored, smooth wool yarn of dk weight or heavier, cast on 30 stitches and work in k1, p1 ribbing for about 1". Work this piece flat, not in the round. Leave stitches on needles with yarn attached.
Must know how to knit in the round.
