Color, Style, and Silhouette with Jane Slicer Smith
From color selection and knitting techniques to garment shaping and fit, Jane shares the processes that make her designs uniquely wearable: graduated miters, shaped panels, intarsia, and embellishment. Jane knows fit. As you knit, she will discuss the keys to successful garment design for all shapes and sizes—changing needle sizes and A-line silhouettes. You will work with your own body measurements as you explore the Swing Swagger Drape fit.
Supplies
Circular or non-circular needles sizes US# 4,5,6,7; 1 dpn or circular needle 3 sizes smaller to pick up stitches, and a cable needle.Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes. |
