Crazy as Pi with Myra Wood
Discover endless possibilities for creative lace shawls using Elizabeth Zimmerman's Pi Shawl recipe. You'll learn everything you need to create a circular shawl or home accessory including circular cast-on for Magic Loop knitting in the round, inserting lace patterns as desired and finishing your piece like a pro. It's easy as Pi!
Note: Must have basic lace knitting skills including chart reading.
50 yards #1 (fingering) merino wool in one solid or semi-solid color (no variegates); 3.5 and 3.75mm/US 4 and 5 circular needles with at least a 20-inch cord (interchangeables are preferred); 16 stitch markers (no danglies).
Please familiarize yourself with the following 2 videos before class:
1) Circular Cast-on
2) Magic Loop Knitting
We will review both techniques but I want you to try them at home so that you will be familiar with them in class.
