Swing Knitting: An innovative Approach to Short Rows with Brigitte Elliott
This is a basic class to introduce the student to a relatively new European fiber art form and knitting technique utilizing short rows. It has many applications such as wall art and wearable art. This technique can be applied to existing patterns to make them unique and personal. Once students have been introduced to the concept and it's innovative way of using a marking system, they can continue expanding their knowledge from existing, published patterns. A few time-saving and valuable "tricks" will be demonstrated to expand the student's knitting skills.
Note: For your planning purposes, this class begins on Friday afternoon and finishes on Saturday morning.
Supplies will be provided.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
