The Sweater Map with Shannon Okey
Using Shannon's 'sweater map' technique, students will learn how to design their own perfect sweater. We'll discuss proper measurement-taking, gathering inspiration, and translating everything from the page to the needles. Along the way, students will also learn how to address their own personal challenges for optimal sweater fit and style.
Supplies
Cloth (not metal) measuring tape, yarn, circular or straight needles in size appropriate for yarn, note taking materials.Homework
Knit a 4" x 4" swatch. If you have a particular yarn in mind for a sweater, you can use that.
