![]() Note: You are expected to know how to knit in the round. Supplies
3-5 balls or partial balls of #4 (worsted weight), SMOOTH yarn (no heather, novelty, thick ‘n thin or fuzzy type yarns) in a mix of light, medium, and dark colors (for a baby hat); needles sized for your yarns; 2 stitch markers in two different colors.Optional: Colored pencils that match your yarn. If you have questions about the supplies or homework please contact the teacher at susanna@oneofsusannas.com Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes. With one of your colors, cast on 72 or 80 stitches on a 16 inch circular needle and join in the round. Work 8 rounds in 1" x 1" or 2" x 2" ribbing or in stockinette if you want a rolled edge. NOTE: You are expected to know how to knit in the round prior to this class. It is up to you whether you want to use double pointed needles, one 16 inch circular needle (easiest in Susanna's opinion), two circulars, or the magic loop technique. |
