Design It Yourself: Shawls and Stoles with Anne Kuo Lukito
Shawls, scarves, and stoles can actually be quite easy to design. Learn the different elements and constructions in designing these wonderful accessories and different ways of constructing shawls and stoles in a myriad of shapes: square, rectangle, triangle, circle, semi-circle, shallow triangle, etc. You will also learn how to add decorative stitch patterns whether you want to work your piece inside-out, outside-in, bottom-up or top-down.
Supplies
Graph paper, colored pencils or markers, 100 yards or more of one or more yarns in a light color, various needles.Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes. Homework
Bring in some stitch patterns you would like to use.
