My First Pair of Gloves with Marly Bird
If you're smitten with mittens then you will be gleeful about gloves! Don't let all those fingers frighten you away from these wonderful winter accessories. Marly Bird will show you how to turn any mitten pattern into a glove (or fingerless glove if texting is your thing) and help you master fingers and eliminate holes.

Supplies
5mm/US 8 set of 5 dpn's or 2 circular needles 24", 2 contrasting colors #4 (worsted-weight) wool yarn, sport or dk weight cotton yarn to use as scrap yarn.

Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.

Homework
With size 8 dpns or 2 circular needles and light colored worsted weight yarn cast-on 40 sts. Join to work in the round and work k1, p1 rib for 3"
