Steeking — 3 ways with Janel Laidman
Are you a little worried about cutting into all that lovely colorwork you've done? Janel will show you how to cut with confidence! We will discuss different ways of stabilizing the knitting before cutting, and then we'll fortify ourselves with chocolate and take the plunge. Once you've steeked, you'll want to make all your cardigans this way!
Note: Students should be familiar with stranded colorwork and knitting in the round.

Supplies
Homework, crochet hook, extra yarn, sewing thread and needles, tapestry needles, sharp scissors, circular needle in the size used for homework, pen and paper.

Homework
Using WOOL yarn (worsted weight is best) cast on 72 stitches and join in the round being careful not to twist stitches. Work in stockinette in the round for 4.5 inches. Bind off.
