Revolutionary Knitting with Daniel Yuhas
Knitting from the center out is a 'revolutionary old technique' for making just about anything. Working on double-pointed needles and beginning with just a few stitches, our work will grow outwards with each spin around the needles. In this class we'll learn the disappearing loop cast-on and knit a beautiful pinwheel pattern.
What you begin in class could become a coaster, a holiday ornament, a hat, a baby blanket, a pillow, or a tablecloth—the choice is yours!
Smooth #4 (worsted) or #5 (bulky) weight yarn in a light color; a set of four or five double-pointed needles in a size appropriate for yarn; a five-inch steel weaving needle; stitch markers.
Optional Materials Fee: $2 Instructor will have weaving needles available for loan or purchase.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
