Drop It! with Sarah Peasley
A dropped stitch can be your worst enemy, but once you get to know it better, you'll be great friends. You already know how to drop stitches, right? You're halfway there! Learn how to pick them back up (or not!) within a variety of stitch patterns and for a multitude of reasons. Stockinette? Seed stitch? Lace? Cables? Edge stitches? No problem!

Supplies
4.5 mm/US 7 dpns; 50 gms smooth, light-colored #4 (worsted-weight) yarn; 50 gms smooth, contrasting-colored #4 (worsted-weight) yarn; 4mm/US G crochet hook; cable needle; 3 stitch markers

Homework
Swatch 1 Cast on 16 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch (knit RS rows, purl WS rows) for 3”. Do not bind off. Place on holder and cut yarn, leaving a 12” tail.
Swatch 2 Cast on 16 stitches. Work in garter stitch (knit every row) for 3”. Do not bind off. Place on holder and cut yarn, leaving a 12” tail.
Swatch 3 Cast on 16 stitches. Work in seed stitch as follows: Row 1 [K1, p1] to end. Row 2 [P1, k1] to end. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for 3”. Do not bind off. Place on holder and cut yarn, leaving a 12” tail.
Swatch 4 Cast on 16 stitches. Row 1 K4, p8, k4. Row 2 P4, k8, p4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for 3”. Do not bind off. Place on holder and cut yarn, leaving a 12” tail.
