Slipped Stitch Mania with Jill Bigelow Suttell
Slipped stitch patterns allow you to create the look of 2-color knitting while only using 1 color per row or add texture while using only 1 color. Mosaic knitting (one form of slipped stitch patterning) can bring to mind beautiful, Native American fiber art. No stranding, bobbins, or changing color within the row. In this class we will explore different techniques as well as the do's and don'ts of this method of knitting.
2 colors #4 (worsted weight) yarn; 4.5 or 5mm/US 7 or 8 needles.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
