Conquer your Fear of double points! with Stacey Trock
Double point needles don't need to be scary!
In this class, you'll learn the tips and tricks for using double-point needles, which are very handy for knitting small pieces in the round (such as thumbs of mittens, socks, and tops of hats). You may even end up LIKING them!
We'll knit a miniature hat in the course of this class. You'll learn to cast on over multiple double points, rearrange your stitches, and prevent laddering (those ugly gaps that happen in between needles). We'll also discuss how to know how many needles to use, talk about reading patterns with double points, and review tips for making sure your stitches stay put while knitting and transporting your work.
Ready to conquer your fear?
Approx. 100 yards of yarn (fingering to worsted) with appropriate size double-pointed needles.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
