Lacy Miters with Jill Bigelow Suttell
Mitered squares provide a great way to use up leftover bits of yarn while adding color and texture to your project. Adding a little lace will totally change the look of your mitered square projects. Learn to read and create lacy mitered charts and tips and tricks to getting great lacy squares. We’ll discuss using lace miters as accents, as well as for an unshaped (e.g. triangle or rectangle shawl) and shaped garments (e.g. sweaters).
Note: Previous miter experience is necessary.
Light-colored, #4 (worsted-weight) yarn (wool recommended) and 5mm/US 8 needle (straight, dpn, or circular)
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
