Devilish Designer Details with Christine Bylsma
Details can often make or break a garment. Fingercord (not finger knitting) is one of those elements that can add just the perfect touch and is so versatile—but so unknown—that requires only your fingers, yarn, and a will to play! Learn how to create ties, drawstrings, frogs, loop closures, swirled buttons and more. Then master the secrets of a designer swirl, a lettuce edge, and a faux fringed pocket to add full designer impact to your creations.

Supplies
Yarn and needles used for swatch, needles two sizes smaller than swatch, two or three colors of smooth worsted weight yarn, smooth sock or fingering yarn of your choice, tapestry needle, scissors

Homework
Swatch 1 Work a 4" x 4" stockinette swatch in your choice of yarn and bind off.
Swatch 2 Cast on 69 sts with worsted weight yarn and appropriate sized needles and knit (garter) 4 rows. Do not bind off or cut yarn.
