Swatching for Fun and Profit with Edie Eckman
This class is for knitters and crocheters who don't think they need to swatch. Even if you 'always' get gauge, a properly worked swatch can give crucial information about the project you are about to start, saving time and avoiding costly mistakes. Learn how to accurately measure your gauge. Discover the benefits of a larger-than-usual swatch, and find out what to do with the swatch when you have finished.

Supplies
One or more colors #4 (worsted-weight) yarn in any style, needles and crochet hooks appropriate for yarn, a ruler (not tape measure).

Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.

Homework
Bring 1 or 2 swatches that you have made for another project.
