Fringed Modulation with Antje Gillingham
Yes! Another scarf! But a modular scarf is not just 'another' scarf. Join me in exploring one of the easiest yet most dramatic looking knitting techniques I've come across! Within the three hours of this class, you'll be well on your way to knitting one of the most gorgeous scarves ever! You'll look at the oh-so-uneventful garter stitch in a new, loving manner as you learn how to knit a patchwork of colors without ever picking up a single stitch.
Approx 400 yds of #4 (worsted-weight), variegated yarn, preferably yarn with a long color variegation (e.g. Tonalita from Trendsetter Yarns or Silk Garden from Noro); a small amount of #4 (worsted weight) practice yarn; 5 and 5.5mm/US 8 and 9 straight OR circular needle.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
