Shooting Your Stitches! with Kellie Nuss
Kellie Nuss, an established professional photographer as well as a knitting instructor, will walk you through the VERY BASICS of good light and composition so you can capture pleasing images of your knit pieces. Whether you are shooting with your phone, a point-and-shoot, or a DSLR, learn to show your stitchwork off to its best advantage. All you need is to know how to push your camera's shoot button and to have a can-do attitude! Kellie will do some live shooting both with her equipment and yours and give students the chance to do the same. Friendly and supportive critiquing will help you see how good light, trying a different camera angle, and taking a few chances will quickly improve your photos.
Note: This class is NOT a technical photography class. It is for anyone who wants to take better, more-fun photos of their knitting and learn how to use them in this modern, connected knitting world.
Bring any kind of digital camera including smartphones with cameras, point and shoot types or DSLRs.
Bring something you've knitted that you want to photograph .
