Loving Brioche: Inside and Out! with Antje Gillingham
Brioche or Fisherman's Rib? Two different techniques creating the same result - that thick soft and extremely stretchy rib pattern that makes every garment ueber-cozy! Are you ready to find out, which technique you prefer? Immerse yourself in all that is Brioche, starting with different cast ons and bind offs. Let's play with color and stitch patterns and see how these techniques create wondrous movement within the design.
And finally, let me ask you how many times you've happily knitted along on a beautiful piece only to find yourself ripping it all out because an innocent looking mistake turned into a monstrous disaster? Let's conquer the issue of fixing mistakes together! Once you're able to recognize the stitches, you'll not only vanquish the fear of making that error, you'll get better and faster at fixing mistakes in no time!
1 ball each of 4 solid, light colored, #4 (worsted-weight) yarn, appropriately-sized knitting needles including circular (16" and 24") and double-pointed needles, lockable stitch markers.
Note: Having the correct yarn to learn with is very important!
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
