Open Weave Felted Scarf with Deborah Jarchow
Make a scarf with a lovely open pattern using a rigid-heddle loom and wool. You can create a wonderful woven piece that looks complicated but is really very easy. If you've taken beginning rigid-heddle weaving, enhance your skills. If you still haven't tried this exciting fiber technique, now is the time to begin. This type of weaving is portable, easy, and fun. No experience necessary!
Note: Rigid-heddle looms available for use in class.

200 yards of #4 (worsted-weight), feltable wool 2 or 3 ply yarn, scissors, tape measure, tube from inside a paper towel roll, 3 brown paper grocery bags

Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
