Secrets of the Sleeve Cap with Patty Lyons
A properly sized sleeve cap can make or break a garment. Learn the math to design a traditional sleeve cap and how to redesign a pattern’s sleeve cap if your row gauge is not perfect. After exploring the domino effect of changing parts of a sweater pattern, we will learn how to design a fixed height and a variable height sleeve cap that will fit you perfectly. Once we have cracked the code of the sleeve cap, we will finish off by exploring the four seaming zones that will allow you to perfectly sew in your set in sleeve. You will never look at sleeves the same again!
NOTE: Math is used in sweater design.
