Stitch+Stash=Style with Michelle Hunter
Do you have beautiful yarns in your stash that are begging to be knit but you aren't sure what to do with them? Are you intrigued by the endless number of stitch patterns in reference books? This is the class for you! Learn the best way to use a stitch dictionary to complement your stash yarn and create one-of-a-kind pieces. A fabulous way to use luxury or hand-spun yarn. This class covers stitch selection, best uses for each yarn, and simple pattern design. Students will create a unique cowl pattern using their stash yarn.
Stitch dictionary or reference book (There will be some copies available to share in class.); 3 skeins of complementary colored yarn (approx. 100 yds. each) from #3 to #5(DK to bulky weight) and may vary between skeins; needles in sizes recommended by yarn and several sizes larger; one set of double pointed needles in size recommended by yarn; 3 stitch holders.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
