Seams Made Simple with Cindy Craig
The seams of your garment provide structure and showcase your overall knitting skills. Good seams improve the look of any project. Learn to identify your stitches and rows so you can execute precise seaming techniques. You'll also learn to do perfect shoulder seams, invisible side seams, and sleeve seams.
Smooth, light-colored, #4 (worsted-weight) yarn, 2 sets 5mm/US 8 needles, tapestry needle, scissors
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
Swatch 1 (make 2): CO 8 sts and work 20 rows of stockinette stitch. BO all sts.
Swatch 2 (make 3) CO 12 sts. Work 12 rows of stockinette stitch. BO all stitches.
Swatch 3 (make 2) CO 8 sts. Work in stockinette stitch for 15 rows. BO all sts.
Swatch 4 (make 2 ) CO 12 sts. work 12 rows of stockinette stitch. Place stitches on a holder.
