2 yds of cotton or muslin fabric, cloth tape measure, pencil, 10-20 yards each of 15 to 20 coordinating, smooth, #2 to #4 (sport-to-worsted weight) yarns, any fiber; several small skeins of coordinating novelty, variegated and textured yarns; 3.75, 4 and 4.5mm/US 5, 6 and 7 short straight or circular needles: various sizes of crochet hooks from E to H; 15-20 safety pins or removable stitch markers; small scissors, yarn needle.
