Zig Zag Scarf with Deborah Jarchow
If you already know the basics on your rigid-heddle loom, you are ready to learn to create beautiful lace patterns using pick-up sticks. The intricate patterns can be achieved with relative ease. Complete this beautiful scarf with the zigzag pattern that teaches you how to manipulate your warp threads. You will also learn how to use a slow-color-change yarn in weaving in a way that preserves the color sequencing.
Note: Rigid-heddle looms available for use in class.
scissors, tube from inside a paper towel roll, 2 brown paper grocery bags, tapestry needle, about 25 yards waste yarn (worsted weight acrylic works well), and yarn for your project - 1 ball of Crystal Palace Merino 5 (worsted weight, solid-color yarn, 110 yds) and 2 balls Crystal Palace Mini Mochi (100 yds) or any worsted weight, slow color change yarn.
