Fascinating Fibonacci with Laura Bryant
Fibonacci numbers describe a mathematical sequence that occurs repeatedly in nature. This relationship is particularly pleasing to the eye, and artists and designers have used these numbers throughout civilization. Learn the history while you explore this fascinating tool for designing rows of color for stripes, blocks, and perfect shading. Learn a method for controlling color combinations, and participate in hands-on swatching with fun yarns and colors. Swatching can be done in knit or crochet; weavers and quilters can design blocks on paper.
Optional materials fee: $3 for assorted fashion yarns.

_Approximately 1 oz each of 2-4 colors of compatible yarns that knit at a gauge of 4 1/2 or 5 sts/inch
_2 or 3 sizes of needles ranging in size from 3.75mm/US 5 to 8mm/US 11 or for crochet, hooks in a size appropriate for the yarn.
_Weavers and quilters should bring graph paper and 3-4 colors of non-toxic magic markers or colored pencils.
_Optional materials fee: $3 for assorted fashion yarns
