Argyle Socks Using Planned Pooling with Karla Stuebing
Hand-dyed yarn will be used to produce argyle socks from a single skein of yarn. The basics of planned pooling will be presented in a lecture format with ample pictures and finished objects. Building on this information, the class will begin knitting a simple argyle anklet. Instruction and demonstration to add the heel will begin the second half of the class. Finally, a lecture on locating or dying yarns that will work with this technique will be presented.
This class begins on Saturday afternoon and concludes on Sunday morning.
Note: Experience with planned pooling and basic sock knitting is recommended.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
