Multicolor Magic: Stitch Patterns & Tips for Multicolored Yarns with Carol Sulcoski
We love our multicolor and variegated yarns, but sometimes it's tough to find just the right stitch patterns to show them off. In this class we'll learn all about multicolored yarns, whether space-dyed, hand-dyed, or self-striping. We'll also play with some stitch patterns designed to work beautifully with multicolored yarns, including a few unusual (but not hard to work!) stitch patterns that will help move the colors of your yarn around. Bring any multicolored skeins in worsted weight that you'd like to work with.
Bring one or two skeins of multicolored yarn in worsted weight (e.g., Cascade 220 Paints, Classic Elite Liberty Wool Print, Caron Paints, etc) (Cat. 4) and bring one or two skeins of solid colored worsted weight yarn; bring appropriate needles for the size of your yarn(s).
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
