Fine Tuning Your Planned Pooling Technique with Karla Stuebing
In this highly hands on class, individuals who want to learn planned pooling or refine their technique will be instructed in the specific skills required to control the patterning in their hand dyed yarns. Fundamental concepts will be presented in a brief introductory section. Class members will analyze their own yarn for its color pattern, will construct a 'cheat sheet' to help them manage the color changes as they knit. Class members will swatch their own yarn through various exercises developed to enhance awareness of both the yarn and each knitters own knitting style and tension, as well as the patterning potential for their chosen yarn.
Hand-dyed yarns and appropriate needles.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
