Basically Yours: Custom Skirts with Candace Eisner Strick
Make yourself a custom-fit skirt that is completely yours. It will fit, it will drape, it will flatter, and it will look good whether you are sitting, standing, or dancing. With just a smidgeon of math and some beautiful yarn, you can enter the zone of skirt knitting. You will plan out a basic A-line skirt to custom fit you. Once you have the basics, a myriad of variations are within your reach, along with some charming hemline special effects. Come in curious; leave skirt obsessed.
Flexible tape measure, a few sheets of graph paper or plain paper, pencil, eraser, circular needle (24") the size of your swatch. If you have a skirt that you like the fit of, bring that also.
Knitting Basics including sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles and crochet hooks of various sizes.
With some yarn that you think you might like to knit a skirt from, make a stockinette stitch swatch at least 4" x 4" using the needle size that is recommended on the ball band. Wash and block according to care stated on ball band. If you are undecided about what yarn to use, please contact me at Strickwear@gmail.com
Please wear tights or leggings to class as you will need to take measurements.
