Twice the Fun, Half the Work with Patty Lyons
Learn the fun and time-saving technique of working any two items, in the round, two at a time! Whether socks, sleeves, or wristers, getting both pieces done at once means you’ll never suffer from “second item syndrome” again! First, we will go over the basics of working magic loop and two circulars. Then we’ll move on to the secrets of how to cast on and work two items for both magic loop and two circulars. We’ll also go over professional tips for improving the look of your work in the round.
Note: Must know long-tail cast-on and how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off. Experience in one other method of working in the round helpful.
Any smooth worsted to chunky weight yarn, in a light color. Second ball of a contrasting color yarn in the same weight.
Needles & Notions:
Two 24" circular knitting needles (which ever your yarn choice requires), OPTIONAL: use two different brands of 24" needle or two different color cables.
One 40" circular knitting needle in size that is appropriate for your yarn choice. Circular needles must have VERY flexible cords.
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
On 40" circular needle, CO 28 stitches using long tail cast on.
On one 24" circular needle, CO 28 stitches using long tail cast on.
