Join-as-You-Go Crochet with Lily Chin
Most crocheters avoid seaming like the plague. When working motifs such as granny squares, the sewing seems daunting. Learn how to join as you go for many situations. Join a new piece to the left, to the right, to the top or the bottom of an existing piece.
Command of basic crochet skills is required.
_Bring yarns used in homework
_All homework swatches
_Crochet Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Blunt tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Crochet hooks of various sizes
Use #4 or 5 worsted or chunky-weight yarn in 2 colors and appropriate hook for all swatches. Swatch 1 Make swatch of 10 sc in stripes of 2 rows color A and 2 rows color B for about 10 or 12 rows, fasten off.
Swatch 2 Make swatch of 10 dc in stripes of 2 rows color A and 2 rows color B for about 6 or 8 rows, fasten off.
Swatch 3 Make each swatch of 10 sc in one color for about 6 rows, fasten off.
Swatch 4 Make each swatch of 10 dc in a single color for about 4 rows, fasten off.
