Sew on the go: Handpiecing Workshop with Mickey Depre
Let’s tackle a block that could cause you to pause at your machine but when hand pieced will become your 'Go-To' choice for de-stressing!
Hand Piecing Rocks! Join me for a slow-stitch workshop covering the tips and tricks of hand piecing the Castle Wall Block. When sewn by hand, this versatile and complicated block becomes a joy to work. Perfect points happen almost automatically!
We will use traditional templates to cut out the shapes with scissors. This entire workshop is about easy, peaceful quilting.
Note: Bring a thimble if you use one, but no previous hand-sewing experience is necessary.

Materials fee: $25 includes templates, thread, needles, pins, and markers

Supplies
Scissors for fabric cutting (a blade at least 5-6" long); 2 Gel Pens/white or yellow and silver or medium blue (I recommend Sakura pens that can be found in the scrapbooking area of your local craft store. (I will have some that can be shared but always best to have your own.)
OPTIONAL: Clover Table-Top Needle Threader and a portable OTT light
FABRIC: Five fabrics are needed to make a block. I highly suggest bringing at least 7-10 fabrics to allow for creativity but at least the equivalent of a 10" square of each fabric.
