Thumbs-Up Continental Knitting with Candace Eisner Strick
Learn continental knitting and purling the Candace-way that eliminates almost all motion. Two fingers do it all, and one is your thumb! You won't believe how lazy your wrists will become once they stop doing all the exercise! Your knitting and purling will become so smooth and fast that you will be begging to knit a seed stitch full-length coat.
Note: Must be willing to use the non-dominant hand.
2 colors of smooth, worsted weight yarn and US8 (5mm) 24" circular needle.
Knitting Basics including sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles and crochet hooks of various sizes.
With one of the colors, cast on as many stitches that will go around the needle. Join the round; work a few rows of ribbing in either 1X1 or 2X2 ribbing.
