Crochet for Knitters with Edie Eckman
Add skills to your knitting toolbox! Knitters can appreciate the use of basic crochet techniques for edgings and finishing details. Learn basic crochet stitches, get a taste of a granny square, see how crochet can solve knitting problems, and quickly review pattern reading.
Note: This is a basic how-to class for those with little or no crochet experience.
Smooth, #4 (worsted-weight) yarn in 2-3 light colors; size H-8 (5mm) and I-9 (5.5mm) crochet hook.
Knitting or Crochet Basics
Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.
Make one stockinette-stitch swatch at least 6" square. Block.
