Entrelac Basics with Gwen Bortner
Have you always wanted to learn entrelac but thought it would be too hard? Whether a beginner or advanced knitter, this class is for you. During this class, each student will have the opportunity to knit a small project to gain hands-on experience in the entrelac technique. Participants will learn the seamless entrelac technique and basic entrelac construction. Hints and tips on the fine points of entrelac, a discussion of other project possibilities, and an overview of knitting in both directions will also be included.

Supplies
1 oz each of 2 different colors of #4 (worsted-weight) wool (non-machine washable) yarn and set of 5 double pointed needles 5.5mm/US9 (wood or plastic 6"-8").

Knitting Basics:

Sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with an eraser, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needles (large and small), flexible tape measure, small calculator, and needles & crochet hooks of various sizes.

Homework
With one of the colors, cast on 36 stitches divided evenly between 4 dpns and join without twisting. Purl 3 rounds and leave on needles.
