Traditional Hawaiian Applique Made Modern with Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill
The Big Island Blossom block is a modern interpretation of traditional Hawaiian quilts. You will learn how to prepare the applique including folding, cutting, basting, and how to apply the motif using needle-turn applique. Learn how Sheri designed the block how you can design your own templates for future projects. We’ll also review quilting tips and traditional Hawaiian quilting resources. By the end of class, students will have most of the 32" x 32" block basted and will start needle-turn applique.
Materials fee: $4 cut Big Island Blossom pattern/template and handout.

_Sewing Basics: Needles, Thread, Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Tape measure, Seam ripper, Pins.

Preparations are required to allow maximum sewing and learning time for class. Once registered for this class, email stitchesregistration@xrx-inc.com with your name and the class number to receive a PDF with supply list and directions for preparations.
