Bottoms Up! Toe-up Socks with Michelle Hunter
Prepare yourself for a new obsession—toe up socks! By popular demand, the majority of today’s sock patterns are written from the bottom up. Toe up socks take the guesswork out of measuring and always leave you with ample yarn. This class will cover all of the skills needed to knit these addicting beauties – cast on, magic loop, short row heel and elastic bind off. I’ve helped thousands to knit successful socks and I can’t wait to count you among them. In class we will make a small demo sock to learn the techniques. Lastly, bring a skein of sock weight yarn and cast on for your very own pair of full size socks (pattern included). Sock yarns are amazing and shopping for it is just half of the fun!
I will provide 32” 4mm/US6 needles for students to borrow in the class for use in knitting the demo sock. These needles are listed in the supplies only if you would like to bring your own preferred needle.
