My First Sweater with Beth Whiteside
Ready to go beyond scarves & hats? Take the terror out of sweater-making with this sleeveless teddy-size shell. You will learn about garment types (drop-shoulder, inset, and set-in sleeve sweaters, cardigans, etc) and ways in which they can be constructed (top-down, bottom-up, in seamed pieces or seamlessly). You'll learn how to read pattern instructions that translate the inches of a garment into the stitches and rows of knitting. And you'll apply what you have learned by knitting up and seaming together the pieces of a small sample. Let's make your first sweater together!
